The successful applicant(s) will take part in a studies of emergent magnetic orders in quantum materials, to understand and learn to control these order at surfaces and interfaces. The role will involve running state-of-the-art equipment for scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy installed in a new ultra-low vibration facility in St Andrews. The role holder will perform original experimental research, as well as being involved in day-to-day supervision of students. The position is embedded in a vibrant environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure of the Centre for Designer Quantum Materials.
